Advanced Hand Appliqué—
Take your applique skills to the
next level. Learn circles and
some dimensional applique,
using Mimi Dietrich’s book
Baltimore Basics. You will work
on a beautiful wreath with
rosebuds and berries. You
must be comfortable with your
points and curves for this class.
Dates & Times: Saturday,

Curved Log Cabin—Okay, so
you’ve done Log Cabin…but
Brenda Asmus will show how to
throw the traditional Log Cabin
block a curve! Join us for some
fun as we twist and turn this old
favorite. We will learn a very
easy and precise way to cut and
sew the blocks too! You may
have done log cabin before but
NOT LIKE THIS. Warning this
pattern can be addictive!

Cross-town carry– This fun
bag is very easy to make. It
has a unique shape suitable for
all ages and has several
pockets inside that are great for
organizing.

Beginning Machine
Appliqué— Nancy will teach
the basics of fusible machine
appliqué. Learn how to use
fusible web to assemble your
project. Then learn how to
machine appliqué using both
invisible thread as well as
decorative stitches.

Beginning Embroidery—
Learn basic embroidery
stitches while you work on a
project. You will learn about
flosses and perle cotton,
needles, hoops, tension,
beginning and ending, as you
practice the backstitch,
stem/outline stitch, French
knots and lazy daisy stitch.

Giant Dahlia— The Giant
Dahlia quilt is a stunning,
classic quilt pattern. Using
Marti Michell’s templates
makes this quilt much easier
and more enjoyable to piece.
This is a 2 session class.

Night Of
Mystery
Martha Robinson’s Night of
Mystery is back! Come plan to sew
the night away with your friends.
Martha will host a mystery quilt on
Saturday, September 27 from 4
pm—Midnight. As in the past,
bring a covered dish or dessert to
share, your sewing machine and
supplies, and we will provide the
beverages.
Cost is $20.00 plus supplies and
your covered dish. This class
always fills up fast and is limited to
10 students, so sign up early!
