Giving and Caring.

That is what quilters are known for.  A quilt not only warms the body, but it also
warms the soul, especially when given by someone who cares.  Quilters give of
their time, their talents, and their hearts when they make a quilt.  Next time you
see a Show & Tell at a quilt guild, note how often the person either says the
quilt is being given to someone, or it was given to them.  We share techniques,
patterns, supplies and food.  We also share what is happening in our lives,
good and bad.  And we share our hearts.
This quarter, on August 16, we are going to host a special class from 10—5.
Included will be a delicious lunch.  Check out our
Scrappy Kaleidoscope class.
It will be our way of sharing what we can to help those who have Leukemia and
Lymphoma.  All the money from this class will go toward the funds being raised
by Alice as a member of the
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in
Training.  In October, Alice will be going to Maryland and participating with
thousands of others from across the US in a 100 mile cycle ride to raise funds
to fight leukemia and lymphoma blood cancers.  Ask Alice about it, she will be
glad to tell you what it is all about.
Go to her Team Training Web site a learn
more about her challenge.

At this time, we would also like to say thank you for sharing your lives and your
quilts with us.  We are truly honored.
