256 Pieces of
the Past
From Crab-apple
Hill
Our resident expert
appliqué artist, Joan, has
begun a beautiful new project,
“256 Pieces of the Past”. This
is a lovely vintage piece with a
vase of beautiful appliquéd
roses in a picture that is centered
and surrounded by embroidered
and crayon shaded
plates on the wall above a delicate
embroidered punch bowl
and tea set. Surrounding this
delicate vignette are two columns
of crazy patch foundation
paper piecing that can be
emembellished with embroidery
and beads. We know many of you
will want to make this gorgeous
piece, so Joan will be available
during the Busy Hands Bee to
help anyone who may want it.
There will be no kits available,
however we will be delighted to
help you select fabrics and
flosses for your quilt.
