| A New Chapter of The Appliqué Society (TAS) The Appliqué Society is an international organization that brings together individuals who share the same passion for Appliqué. Their mission statement is as follows: “The Appliqué Society’s mission is To Promote, to Teach, and to Encourage the Love of All Types of Appliqué in Quilting. TAS works to educate and promote public interest in the world of appliqué, as well as encourage and inspire creativity. TAS and its members want to ensure that the art of appliqué will continue through the generations.” TAS has numerous Chapters with most of the 50 States and Internationally. A new chapter has been started within San Antonio called, “South Texas Needle Turners”. To become a member of the Chapter, members are required to join TAS. Dues are $25.00 a year and include a quarterly newsletter containing lots of information and all the latest happenings in the appliqué world. The newsletter always includes at least two patterns. Everyone is welcome and you are allowed to attend 2 meetings before you are required to join TAS and become a member.
