On Saturday, June 14, Lois Smith taught a
Kid’s Kamp where a child could learn the
basics of quilt making. The camp was open
to boys and girls, from ages 8 to 15. The
childern learn how to cut safely and
straight, how to piece basic shapes, and
what is involved in finishing a quilt. All
children in class had to have a sewing
machine they knew how to use. They
should know how to wind a bobbin, change
a needle, and thread the machine. Lois has
had many years of experience teaching
children how to quilt. The class was
attended by Markee, Camryn, and Megan .
All were presented with a Certificate of
Accomplishment.
