| START YOU OWN TRADITION |
|||||||||||
| This tradition comes to us from Joan Henarie. We thought you would like it. This little duck baby quilt has become a 4th generation quilt in the Henarie family. In the picture, you see Ron Henarie on the right, holding the 1st baby quilt, made for him in the mid 30’s by his grandmother Juanita Zepeda. On the left is Randy Henarie, Ron and Joan Henarie’s son, with his baby quilt made for him by Ron’s mother Amelia Henarie. In the middle is Amanda Henarie with her baby quilt, made for her by her grandmother, Joan Henarie. Amanda, who is a 1st year law student at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio is now making the 4th generation of the quilt for that one day lucky baby. Each quilt is the same pattern with just a very slight variation making each generation unique. We just had to share this wonderful Henarie family tradition with you. You may want to start the same tradition in your family! |
